Constantine (2*):  3 to 4 feet

at 6.35 a.m. on Wednesday 4th September 2024:

A cold nor’ westerly is blowing down the coast this morning, a breezy hint of Autumn’s arrival.
And so the three or even four feet of already uneven swell is being lumped and bumped as it trips over itself on its way to a 7 o’clock high, those dark and craggy waves very rideable but not so inviting.
The brighter sky will cheer it all up later but that wind isn’t going away!

Harlyn (1*):  2 to 3 feet

It feels chilly in that north westerly wind at Harlyn this morning with two feet of choppy, grey surf being pushed and pulled onto the high tide bank.
It will look better later income expected sunshine but it’s still going to be more than a bit bumpy and lumpy.

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:   13:23  (1.2m)                High Tide:    19:18  (7.2m)

Surf Forecast for Thursday 4th September 2024

We are likely top see some dampness spilling over us today as the steady north north easterly breeze brings more chilly air our way.
But we could see some cleaner waves too, especially if you pick those wind protected little corners at just the right stage of tide. It’s probably going to feel and look a lot more like Autumn but we could just get some okay waves to ride.

Surf Conditions for the Rest of the Week

We’ll be enjoying a bit of mixed weather and surf this week with onshore, north westerly breezes irritating the surf through the first half of the week, switching offshore maybe through the back half.
Unfortunately the surf will be bigger during the first half, dropping through the second half.
That is all a very definite ‘maybe’, based on the possibility of the jet stream operating in one way – It could very easily go the opposite way if only slight changes occur!
But I reckon that we will still have clean, offshore breezes cleaning up the small, one to two feet of surf through the back half of the week and we will still have to suffer choppy conditions for the start!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
