Constantine (3*):  2 feet

at 6.40 a.m. on Friday 6th September 2024

A little late again – tech probs have been plaguing us recently!
Anyway, you’re not missing a lot!
Those who were around at daybreak found a fun couple of feet of glassy, peeling surf to play in and beneath brighter then expected and drier than expected skies. The wind has come around to a more side shore northerly breeze but it is still light enough to allow the tiny little waves that are breaking to be cleanish and fun.
The tide should improve it all for later this afternoon or this evening.

Harlyn (0*): 0 to 1 foot

Harlyn has gone pretty much flat with the dropping tide.
There’ll be some tiny surf to play in on this afternoon’s rising tide but will be more fun for the kids.
The breeze will probably calm completely this evening but what tiny waves were there will probably disappear towards high tide.

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:   14:18  (1.3m)                High Tide:    20:13  (7.0m)

Surf Forecast for Saturday 7th September 2024

Side shore breezes are probably going to put a bump on the tiny surf today, a light northerly again, just fresh enough to lightly crumble those knee high waves.
The afternoon’s incoming tide should improve conditions but only slightly with a few waist to chest sized peaks peeling through.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

It’s going to be a frustrating one for surfers and beachgoers all along the coast this weekend with northerly breezes just fresh enough to keep air temperatures low while putting some bump and crumble on the tiny surf.
There will be waves to ride but they’re going to be small even at those wave magnet spots like Constantine.
Saturday will see the knee high waves of the morning push up to waist or maybe even chest high on the evening tidal push. Sunday will see a similar pattern but that breeze might be just a little fresher and slightly more onshore.
There’s still time to see some September swells though, anyhow we’re going to enjoy them when (if?) they arrive!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
