Constantine (2*):  2 feet

at 6.50 a.m. on Friday 20th September 2024

That super spring tide is absorbing most of the swell action beneath a big fat moon down in the bays this morning, glimpses of pretty little peaks unfolding themselves just here and there. But we should be enjoying a foot or two of immaculately shaped little surf as the tide eases out while the weather continues to delight most.
Dive in early if you can though, the swell is likely to drop with the tide while the sky gradually starts to cloud over.

Harlyn (0*):  0 to 1 foot

It’s like stepping into a postcard as you arrive at Harlyn this morning, the super high tide lapping the lagoon while a smooth sea of glass reflects that bright, full moon.
It’s all tranquility and calmness and beauty over here but there’s no surf to ride!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:   14:00  (0.4m)                High Tide:    19:55  (8.0m)

Surf Forecast for Saturday 21st September 2024

Continuing offshore breezes will be blowing against the tiny swell through this morning, those little waves gaining a little more strength through the afternoon.
It will be mainly longboard or foam board territory but the shape of those little toddlers should continue to be exquisite.
Temperatures are likely to be a little lower today too and watch out for some afternoon showers – they’ll be heavy if you get caught in one!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

We can wave goodbye to the tranquility and comfort of last week’s calm and cosy weather as high pressure drifts away to snuggle up to others.
That will leave colder air temperatures and eventually a return of onshore, north westerly winds too. Those onshore shouldn’t kick in until Sunday afternoon but the swell will be very small before then, the continuing offshore breezes trying their best to make those little waves stand as tall as they can before peeling away.
Longboards and soft boards will earn their keep this weekend but it should be worth it.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
