Constantine (1*): 4 to 6 feet
A howling northerly wind is blowing the feeding seabirds off their rocky perches down in the bay this morning, the grey seas heaving themselves over the islands on more of a bright and sunny Autumn day than the high summer laziness of mid-August that we hope for.
Grey but bigger, lumping waves are lumbering in to shore, tattered and torn by that wind, four to five feet of choppy bundles of unpredictable surf appealing only to the diehards.
It might just be worth a trip to the far coast today.
Northerly winds are howling into Harlyn Bay this morning, the sun lighting the golden sand, leaving the choppy sea for later.
The surf is in the three to four feet region but it is completely blown out, offering bumpy unpredictable rides only to anyone who wants to give it a go.
Mind you, the water is warm and the sun is shining.
Choppy surf can be fun with a few friends in the sunshine!?
