At 7.15 a.m. on Remembrance Day, Monday 11th November 2024
Constantine (3*): 4 to 5 feet
Low tide is showing a thumping four feet plus of smooth rolling swell down in the bays this morning, the sky trying hard to brighten up, maybe planning on a day-long struggle to do so.
The breeze is barely noticeable but lightly offshore and the swells are evenly spaced.
So, go massage those early shoulders ready for another day of paddling and wave sliding (or is it just me that needs some ongoing maintenance after a few weeks of rip-roaring waves!!?)!
I’m out of here for a few days at the end of the week so Jason might throw a few images up on the socials which will save your eyeballs having to read my rambling reports!
Bryn will open the shop Friday and Saturday but we’re closed the rest of the time I’m afraid. I’ll leave some blocks of wax in the usual place for you guys who seem to eat it up – drop the cash in later.
Don’t forget – we have just taken delivery of a whole lot of new Winter Vissla clothing and accessories and are just putting a whole bunch of DaKine and Wetty wetsuits as well as ALL of our surfboards on a SUPER CLEARANCE SALE!!
If you want to grab a bargain sale suit or board (check the site) then mail/message me and we can sort it out next week.
Have a good ‘un!
Harlyn (1*): 0 to 1 foot
Harlyn is full of life this morning, no surf but the swimmers, dog walkers, stroller and joggers are out en masse!
There’s barely a foot or so of choppy little ankle-biters slapping the lowtide sand. That should get just a little bigger on the incoming tide bt it’s the other side for surf again today!
Today’s Tide Times:
Low Tide: 07:05 (2.5m) High Tide: 13:05 (6.3m)
Surf Forecast for Tuesday 12th November 2024
A strengthening offshore breeze will be pushing against an already slowly dropping swell today so the shape of the surf will continue to be excellent maybe offering some stinging spray in your eye as you paddle into them but the size will gradually ease. Not to the point of being too small to bother with but maybe less than there has been.
Other than that we should all be enjoying another fabulous day of surf gliding happiness!
Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week
High pressure is steadily rebuilding over the UK, promising another week of fine surf conditions and enjoyable, calm weather. It will probably end up being a little chillier than it has been but the water temperature is still (relatively) mild so that’ll do. So we’re promised another week of three to four foot swells with light offshore breezes and maybe some long awaited autumn sunshine.
4 mil wetsuits are suddenly becoming more popular and some are reaching for their booties, the sale of purple sex wax increasing over green as Winter’s chill reaches over us.
But the surf is looking good again for the whole week – just pick your favourite spot, your favourite board and your favourite mate(s) and let’s go surfing!
