‘Start the Week’ Surf Report

Constantine (0*):  8 to 10 feet

It’s another wild ’n woolly one out there this morning with a shrieking nor’ westerly gale blowing a hooley.
Big and chunky, out of control, windswept waves are pounding into the bays, the beaches lapping up the last couple of days’ downpours and storms, that welcome ‘end of season’ wash down that the bays seem to crave.
You might not want to be thinking of surfing the North Coast today.

Harlyn (0*):  4 to 6 feet

The wind and waves are galloping into Harlyn this morning, a noisy gale driving the wild surf into a frenzy.
It’s not really rideable this morning and is likely top take a while to calm down too. But there’s always that other coast if you fancy the trip?

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:   08:31  (3.0m)                High Tide:    14:39  (5.7m)

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 1st October 2024

The wind will continue to bluster in from the north west, only gradually easing in strength. But as the wind eases so will that wind driven swell back off too.
So we’ll be seeing a day of smaller but just as choppy waves today, making the decision as to whether to aim for the far coast a little less definite.
It might not be big enough for the journey.

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

September is going to be flouncing out in a storm, disappointing most surfers of the area.
And October seems set to arrive keeping to the same routine, starting out small and clean but quickly seeing a return of onshores.
As the storms that start the week gradually ease, we could see some cleaner, offshore breezes just for a day or two through midweek. But, of course, the swell will have all but disappeared by then too!
We will likely be enjoying no more than a foot or two of cleaner but still weak leftover windswell with Wednesday maybe showing the best conditions.
Those longboards and foamies have earned their keep this year and not looks like they’ll keep on being in demand for a while yet. This year’s surf conditions haven’t exactly been kind to the shorter, lighter, more dynamic boards and there doesn’t seem to be any immediate change on the horizon just yet!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
