Constantine (0*):  4 feet

A blown out mess of wild surf is rolling into the bays between fast moving rain squalls this morning, skinny ribbons of blue sky teasing from the sides.
You wouldn’t want to be out in that lot today and anyway it’s still like a blast freezer in that screaming nor’ westerly wind.
Best leave it till the weekend proper and see what Harlyn has to offer us then.

Harlyn (0*):  3 feet

A noisy nor’ wester is howling and screeching into Harlyn this morning, toppling and trashing the smaller than expected but wild, wild surf.
It looks like winter and feels like winter and there are better things to do than mess about with that lot!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:   16:20  (2.6m)                High Tide:    09:40 (6.1m)

Surf Forecast for Saturday 23rd November 2024

Storm force winds are expected to be roaring in from the south west today, fifty miles an hour plus of south westerly gales blasting their way onto our little stretch of raggedy coastline.
The wind is forecast to ease a little through the afternoon, just as a new and booming swell is scheduled to explode our way. We can expect waves leaping into the large size range swinging maybe eight feet plus of grinding barrels into good old Harlyn maybe!
Yes, Harlyn is likely to rise to the occasion offering some shelter and a better direction for those winds. But you’d better be comfortable in those big and grinding waves, they won’t show much mercy – especially at low tide!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A stormy weekend of howling winds and booming waves is rushing our way, the wind switching to a milder south westerly, the swells picking up into the real big range.
Harlyn is looking like your best (only) option for a surf over the next few days, its more north easterly facing direction allowing those ferocious winds to drive offshore.
The swells are likely to build through Saturday, driven in by those gales resulting in ten to fifteen feet or bigger of ocean swells. These will probably swing a good eight feet and bigger of thick and lumping surf into Harlyn, board snappingly teasing at low tide, still booming at high!
You’d better be on it to enjoy this weekend’s surf – it’s unlikely to be ‘easy’!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
