Constantine (1*): 4 to 6 feet
Well, at least it’s quite mild and the sunrise was pretty with an explosion of Pinks, Reds and Orange but the threat of dampness still lingers and the wind is chaffing at your exposed bits and the surf is pretty junky.
The forecasts are showing a wind-switch later, predicting a strengthening offshore from the south south east and that will clean the waves we hope.
But watch out; #StormDarragh is growling its way to our shores and it looks like it could be big and nasty out there soon enough!
Harlyn (2*): 3 to 4 feet
It’s another quiet morning around at Harlyn with a lazy three or four feet of jumbled up surf bumbling around.
That should change on the dropping tide with a brisk offshore expected along with a building swell.
It could be booming by nightfall!
Today’s Tide Times:
Low Tide: 14:47 (1.9m) High Tide: 20:42 (6.3m)
Surf Forecast for Saturday 7th December 2024
I hope your hatches are battened! #StormDarrgh is incoming in a hurry, promising to flounce through with extra strong winds pushing a twenty foot plus windswell our way!
The only option for a wave anywhere today will be the most ticked away, super sheltered spots that you might have heard about but never seen breaking. But that’s only a ‘maybe’ in these winds!
Unless you are completely comfortable in a very angry sea you might want to give it a miss today because you’ll be on your own if you get into trouble!
Surf Conditions for the Weekend
Another stormy, stormy weekend is waiting to attract you away from the coast this weekend. #StormDarragh is racing our way swirling storm force plus winds at our shores along with mountainous seas and cold, cold air.
It should be a great weekend for storm watching or snuggling down cosy in a warm and sheltered nest but probably not the best weekend of the year to think about surfing.
But if you are, then you’re going to have to find one of those super sheltered havens, one of those tucked away spots that you might have wondered whether it ever breaks. And you’ll probably be on your own!
It might be a better weekend just to watch those might storm waves and keep your distance.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
