Constantine (2*): 1 to 2 feet
It’s a wee bit chilly out there this morning, beautiful and still and bright but chilly if you’re not dressed for it!
The surf is tiny, a foot or two of smooth and glassy little ones peeling through at high tide, just about big enough to get you gliding along on a long board or a super floaty short board.
But you’ll need to make it quick if you want to enjoy all this brightness, clouds are out there and aiming our way but it should stay calm enough all day.
Harlyn (0*): Flat
It’s all peace and tranquility around at Harlyn this morning with smooth but tiny ripples peeling ashore to the background sound of the gurgling stream.
It is all very nice for a swim or a paddle but there ain’t no surf here today!
Today’s Tide Times:
Low Tide: 13:59 (1.3m) High Tide: 19:51 (7.0m)
Surf Forecast for Saturday 4th January 2025
We’re expecting south easterly winds to continue to blow offshore today, strengthening as the day rolls along. That breeze will be meeting a small but immaculately formed little swell head-on, setting up the usual tiny swell against the strengthening, wind contest.
Longboards could be the (only?) way forward today but it could be very pleasant longboard gliding conditions in the morning.
Surf Conditions for the Weekend
Offshore breezes will be freshening against a knee high swell through Saturday, those south easterly strengthening as the day goes on and swinging onshore, south westerly overnight.
The windshift is likely to occur just as a new swell shows itself (as usual!) in the middle of the night, a hefty six to eight feet of tumbled and lumpy waves expected for Sunday. And that is just the conditions to allow Harlyn to shine in its glorious winterness.
A fun three to four feet of curling Harlyn dumpers are expected to entertain us through Sunday on what could turn out to be one of those typical Harlyn winter surf days!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
