Constantine (3*): 2 to 3 feet
It’s a beaut!
The sun is shining, the breeze is light and offshore and there’s a pretty little, reeling couple of feet of glassy surf.
High tide is absorbing most of the wave energy right now but it will be a dreamy day of wave sliding and gliding in a minute!
Harlyn (0*): Flat
Harlyn is as pretty as she gets this morning, given that surfwise it’s flat.
For those who don’t surf though, the sea is a smooth platter of silver, the sand a curving cushion of gold and the sky that creamy shade of blue.
The air has Autumn’s sting to it but that’ll warm up soon enough.
Today’s Tide Times:
Low Tide: 13:21 (1.2m) High Tide: 19:14 (7.2m)
Surf Forecast for Saturday 5th October 2024
Fresh southerly going south south easterly winds are going to strengthen through the day as a new low pressure system gallops over the country.
We’re going to see a change in the weather along with a change in surf conditions throughout today forcing the decision between looking for shelter from that wind versus the tiny conditions that that shelter will provide.
Surf Conditions for the Weekend
Well that moment of fine weather and smooth, small but pleasant surf will have passed in time for our next low pressure system as it pushes its way towards us.
Usually we get excited by the prospect of a weather system pushing surf our way but this one isn’t going to provide a lot of surf but this one is likely to just gallop by throwing up a lot of wind but not that much surf.
That is for midweek but that’s another story!
So Saturday will bring us more three footish surf, held back by a blasting southerly going south easterly wind and then Sunday will bring onshore, westerly going south westerly winds.
That will let more swell through and will give it a helping push too so maybe the surf will be big enough to find its way around and into Harlyn where that wind will be offshore.
We can but wait and see!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
